In a time of war, Tianyang and Uryu were as close as brothers, perhaps even closer—like a pair of inseparable, bonded birds. They were part of an elite military unit, living and fighting together, their bond and love deepening with each battle they faced. But one day, without warning, they were torn apart. Uryu, trapped behind enemy lines, died, leaving Tianyang with only a final promise and a kiss. Two years later, Tianyang, driven by the memory of Uryu’s promise, launches a surprise attack on the enemy general, Ketsugetsu. But when Ketsugetsu turns, Tianyang is stunned—it’s Uryu’s face he sees. “This man carries Uryu’s scent…” Who is this mysterious Ketsugetsu? And what became of the love Tianyang thought he had lost forever? Thus begins this sweeping historical romance set against the backdrop of the imperial court in medieval China.
