Woo Min-jo’s entire life has been put up as collateral to repay the debt left behind by his mother. As a result, he ends up working as a café girl at Pumpkin Teahouse in the seedy town of Mugwang.Washing in cold water, sleeping and eating in a storage room, paying off who-knows-how-much-interest, and constantly dealing with Madam Kim Jung-sook’s tantrums—Min-jo’s life is so miserable she’d rather serve in the army twice over. One day, he covers a shift for Hyeon-yang, a fellow café girl skipping work, and delivers coffee wearing red heels to the office of Gimun Construction. It’s the heart of Mugwang’s underworld—headquarters of the most notorious gangsters. A place so dangerous they won’t even open the door unless they see a pretty ankle through the doghole. There, Min-jo comes face-to-face with the infamous “Moby Dick” of the rumors—President Chu Ki-oh of Gimun Construction.“Some women are just fated to live off men’s cocks,” said the Madam’s live-in boytoy.Turns out it wasn’t a curse, but a prophecy. The way President Chu’s gaze lingers on him… something’s not right. With a casual “Let’s meet often,” Min-jo’s 23-year rock-bottom life suddenly swerves—straight into the arms of a love-struck gangster. From café girl to gangster’s wife, his path takes a sharp turn.“I’ll treat you well. I won’t make you cry. Isn’t that enough?”No, sir. It’s not that you won’t make me cry. It’s that I won’t cry.Get it straight before you catch feelings—!
